Le Sirenuse – Miami…My incredible taste of Italy

In Positano Italy, on the Amalfi Coast, there is a place everyone makes a point to visit – Le Sirenuse. It is an exquisite restaurant that gives you a special taste of the best of Amalfi. Well thank goodness they brought it to Miami Beach. I was overjoyed to visit its location in the Four Seasons in Surfside on Collins. I wanted to experience this with my cousin who is a chef and could help me understand what I was experiencing because I had never had a dining experience this nice. I am so glad I went and can’t wait to share some of the highlights with you.

First thing I was overjoyed to try was their Champagne bar. There is something about Champagne and Prosecco that make me think of vacation and beautiful views. Well, lemme tell you there is not a more gorgeous Champagne bar than this one. I felt like I had been transported back to the height of Hollywood Glamour…I wouldn’t have been surprised to see Cary Grant or Marilyn Monroe seated in one of the corners. It was EXQUISITE!

The staff is there to anticipate your every need or want and they are dressed in beautiful dresses or white coats and have lovely accents. I felt like I was in Italy. They were so friendly and helpful when you wanted to select something whether it was a glass of wine or a cocktail. In the champagne bar, you were given olives, nuts, and potato chips to snack on while you enjoyed your cocktail and the view of the beach, which of course is right outside the window (Insert Heart Emoji here, lol). If you have a reservation they will let you know when your table is ready after giving you time to enjoy your cocktail and you will be escorted to the dining room.

It’s so funny to me when someone pulls my chair out I am not sure if I should sit or pull the chair in as they push it. I need to work on my being fancy life, lol Regardless of my fine dining deficiencies, dinner was lovely. The staff brought many things to complement the meal, Parmesan chips centered in cocoa nibs which I apparently should not have been sampling as they are for presentation purposes only lol, tuna tartare which was so fresh and light I really wanted to ask for more but, I’m semi-classy so I didn’t, a potato fritter and your choice of 3 types of bread. My favorite was the focaccia and olive oil.  For my main course, I had the lamb chops with the 2010 Brunello, which was incredible! I felt like I was drinking a glass of wine that Olivia Pope would approve of.  Each bite was so tender and just incredible.

We were definitely among the youngest people in the room but we were so happy to have a true fine dining experience and I would encourage you to go as well. After our meal was complete we were offered petit fours and chocolate along with a palette cleanser which I think could double for a small dessert or maybe it was just desert, lol…a lime sugar coated popsicle cube. Just as a note I was offered to order dessert and I wanted to have the tiramisu but I really just wanted to take it back to the hotel and climb in bed and watch it along with an episode of GOT but I was told by my lovely cousin that you couldn’t ask for that to go so my non-knowing rump went home Tiramasu-less but next time I will ask when she is not looking lol!

Each course that we were served was exquisite and an experience I will not soon forget. I loved it and would love to revisit soon. I left feeling on top of the world and twirled out of the lobby! The staff of the restaurant and the hotel were wonderful. Who could expect less from the Four Seasons and the best of the Amalfi Coast! Till next time!

Italy cuisine is great, I must recognize, and the fact that they refined the taste of Italy in Miami shows that they know the Americans love Italian fine dining. Looks like you had a great evening!

Oh my days that place looks amazing – and the FOOD! Don’t even get me started. I love the concept of being able to sit at the bar as well, i think I’d almost prefer that if I was on a date.
