The Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort

The Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort

I love Ft Lauderdale! I am from Miami and always come to Fort Lauderdale to rest and regroup. The beach is calmer than South Beach (to those who like a calm and less touristy experience) and so beautiful. I have always seen the beach resort in my results for booking but usually, I select the Westin inland due to the price and benefits for business, but this time I decided to venture out and I am so glad that I did. Little did I know that this resort was a short walk from one of my favorite restaurants to visit on Ft Lauderdale Beach, Casablanca Cafe and it is literally across the street from the beach!

My room has a wonderful view of the beach and the pool. I loved writing from my bed and looking at the beach. The sliding door was a nice addition so I could hear the beach and happy sounds of people having fun at the pool below.

There was a lot happening during my stay including weddings and an 80th birthday party with great music I might add. There is something fun about people at a party especially in Miami, I was headed back to my room and ended up dancing with someone leaving the party right outside the ballroom. Fun all around!

The little touches to the resort stood out to me. There is a gorgeous floral wall when you come in!

The resort has a 2 restaurants, one traditional and the other a bar off the pool with a full menu.

The valet staff works hard as people are in an out, I would advise you to call down for your car about 10 minutes ahead of time.

The thing that makes this resort special was the staff. They are very accommodating and kind, if something is off they will try to fix it right away. I was offered late check out when checkin in and although I could not take advantage of it this go around I love when people offer.

I am a known room service fiend and had a nice breakfast of pancakes, eggs and sausage all tasty and delivered again by lovely staff. Noone knew I was a blogger which makes it more genuine to me, I love to feel appreciated as a guest and that was evident even before check-in. They send text messages welcoming you to the property and they check in via text while you are at the resort and actually respond to your ratings and comments. They want to know what you are experiencing and how they can make each moment of your stay excellent. I seriously can’t wait to visit this resort in the future, I think it may become a go-to spot for me!

I would love to check out this resort on a future weekend get-away. I’m just down the road in South Miami and sometimes it’s good to escape the city for a few days…even if it’s just to Ft. Lauderdale. 😉

Oh wow! That place looks absolutely stunning! And Miami… I wish I’d be there right now! Here in Finland it’s cold and snowy and I’m already planning our next travels to somewhere warm – probably to Italia or Spain this time. Enjoy your stay!
