Let’s be real in 2018.

Let’s be real in 2018.

After 8 months of blogging I am feeling optimistic about the content I have planned and the strides I am working to make to This Curvy Life even better and I have come to realize that that means changing how I am communicating with you. I post many different subjects on this blog but sometimes when I look I don’t see my full voice in them. Meaning my full personality, so I want to change that approach. I have some goals that I am working hard to implement in 2018. I would love to check in with you on them periodically and hear your feedback on the direction you seeing This Curvy Life moving in.

On the Blogging front:

One thing I see lacking with some bloggers is the journey of their life and the journey of developing a blog and a brand. I am a relatively new blogger that is still figuring out how to express my voice and I want to share this journey with you. So I am going to share those ups and downs, some of the tools I am using to make it work, and things that don’t so you can avoid those errors, should you be interested in blogging.

On the Personal level:

It has been challenging during the last year, attempting to have some semblance of a balanced life (more on my thoughts on that later) so I want to share that journey with you a bit more.  How can I get to a place where I worked my 9 to 5 and did a stellar job, worked out, ate right, didn’t call Postmates too much, didn’t max out my credit cards, saved, cleaned the house, went on vacay, take the puppy on playdates, call and text my friends and family, and read the bible, and put oil on my edges before I go to bed? HOW SWAY!? It’s a lot. I am going to share more of my struggle to find that sweet spot with you. Maybe you can see that everyone is struggling and ease up on some of the pressure you might find yourself under. Same goes for me.

On the Social Media front these are my plans:

There will be photo shoots (the plan is monthly) and I will be choosing looks for them. Would you like to know about that process? I will share more of that on Snapchat (link is on this page) and my IG stories.

I am going to start making videos of some instances when I make podcasts especially when I have guests on with me. I plan on sharing that on IG live so you can participate with comments or questions and I want to make sure we have topics you are interested in so I will look forward to your feedback on those.

I plan on working more on the blogging section of This Curvy Life and share what I will be learning about photography, editing pictures, posing and a little about the schedule I am putting into action for maintaining the blog. I am hoping that will help some of the newer bloggers following and we can all keep growing together!

I can’t wait to share more details about this with you and will be checking in as often as I can so keep an eye on “This Bloggers POV” section of this blog all of the posts will be there. Are you working on any goals for 2018? Do you have something that your favorite bloggers share? Share your thoughts in the comments.
